01

Our Commitment

Bumsurfboards is committed to ensuring this website is accessible to all people, including those with disabilities. We work to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Surfing belongs to everyone. That belief extends to how we build and maintain this site.

02

What We've Done

We have taken steps to make bumsurfboards.com easier to navigate and use across a range of assistive technologies. This includes meaningful alt text on images, sufficient color contrast throughout the site, keyboard-navigable interactive elements, and clearly labeled form inputs.

Our pages use semantic HTML to support screen readers, and we avoid relying on color alone to convey information. Font sizes remain legible at default browser settings.

03

Known Limitations

We are an independent, small-batch operation. While we take accessibility seriously, we recognize that some areas of the site may fall short of our intentions. We are actively working to identify and address gaps — particularly in rich content areas and third-party components.

If you encounter a barrier, please let us know. Your feedback is the most direct way we can improve.

04

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements on this site — navigation links, buttons, and form fields — are reachable by keyboard using the Tab key. Focus states are visible throughout to help orient keyboard users.

If you find any element that cannot be accessed or operated without a mouse, please report it so we can fix it promptly.

05

Screen Readers

This site is designed to work with modern screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. We use ARIA labels where native HTML semantics are insufficient to communicate context.

Product images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked to be skipped by screen readers.

06

Text & Color

Body text is set at a minimum of 16px with generous line height for readability. The site is designed with high contrast between text and backgrounds to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.

We do not use color as the sole means of conveying information. Status messages, form errors, and instructional cues are always accompanied by text.

07

Get in Touch

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of this site, please contact us at [email protected]. Describe the issue and the assistive technology you are using, and we will respond within two business days.

We welcome feedback from users of all abilities — it directly informs how we improve.

Our belief

Surfing belongs to everyone. So does this site. If something isn't working for you, tell us — we'll fix it.
